People are usually driven by fear to do things. Would everything done actually have fear as an underlying factor?
Or maybe that's just looking at everything cynically and pessimistically. Cos when I think about it, why do people work so hard.. would it be better to think of it as fear of failure; failure to provide, failure to perform. Are competitive people just people who more tightly grip their fear and use it as their fuel to light their rocket.. *bad metaphor*

What happens when 2 fears are counterpoint to each other? For example, fear of rejection and fear of loneliness.. Whether or not a guy or a girl asks another guy or girl out and/or marry may just seem to depend on which fear wins out.. and you could just add another one to it.. fear of losing their friendship should they turn you down or if it doesn't work out..
is life all about fear?
sigh..
